So Many Choices
Last year I was disheartened when purchasing an electric vehicle and an electric stove to see so many gas powered cars and stoves available for purchase. I wondered how we were going to decrease our carbon footprints and become less reliant on petroleum if gas products still comprised the main selections and, once purchased, would be in use for many years.
I felt encouraged by a recent visit to a big box home improvement store, in which a broad selection of electric lawn tools were proudly on display, overshadowing the gas counterparts. If you haven’t already done so, now’s the time to go electric, for a whole host of reasons. Not only do they eliminate the need to pay for gas to power them, electric tools are relatively quiet and don’t emit smelly (carbon dioxide laden) exhaust.
